Invisalign treatment is an investment. Although many dentists are offering Invisalign, everyone should be seen by a board certified Orthodontist, like Dr. Hudson, before making the decision to start treatment. An orthodontist is a specialist who has two to three years of additional education following dental school, and is an expert in aligning your bite and teeth and choosing the treatment option that's best for your desired results. The aligners are invisible, removable, and comfortable. Patients can get a healthy, more youthful smile without most people noticing they are in treatment!
Dr. Hudson has been an Invisalign and Invisalign Teen provider since 2007. While Invisalign is a great option for most patients, it doesn’t work in all situations. Dr. Hudson has used Invisalign to treat a wide array of malocclusions from very simple to severe. You wear each set of aligners for 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Hudson has planned. You will return to Hudson Orthodontics once every 6-8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Invisalign Teen is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teen’s teeth without the restrictions that come with metal braces. Rather than wires and brackets, Invisalign and Invisalign teen use a series of clear, removable aligners that have been custom-made for your teen’s teeth. There are a few specific features of Invisalign Teen that were created to get growing teenagers the best result possible. Visit our Invisalign Teen page to learn more
A lot of people think that Invisalign costs more than braces, because in many places, it does. So, how much does Invisalign cost? At Hudson Orthodontics, we charge the same fee, whether you choose Invisalign or braces!
In general, if a patient has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign is usually covered to the same extent as conventional braces. If you have any questions about your policy specifically give us a call at 703-451-4666.
Like braces, Invisalign effectively straightens teeth. Dr. Hudson has treated over 1200 cases of Invisalign and guarantees an excellent result.
The length of treatment depends on the severity of each case and can only be determined by Dr. Hudson. He specializes the treatment for each patient by planning the movement of each tooth individually.
Invisalign aligners are made from a lightweight, BPA-free plastic material that is designed to fit precisely in the patient's mouth. Although there may be occasional discomfort due to the snug fit of starting with a new set of aligners, patients will find them to be significantly more comfortable than metal braces.
Invisalign has been available to adults since 1999.
